The military and warriors association kaltensondheim 1911 elected a new board at its general meeting. The members confirmed the previous chairman wolfgang hunder as well as the secretary heinrich murr in office under the election guidance of the district chairman of the bavarian soldiers’ association wilhelm kohler.
As in the previous election period, the position of deputy chairman could not be filled despite an intensive search. In writing, treasurer bernhard wehr had let the assembly know that after 41 years in office, he would no longer be a candidate for health reasons and would give up his office.
Ursula reidlingshofer had already been in charge of the treasury on a provisional basis; she was now duly elected treasurer. The following were elected as assessors: paul bardorf, alfred beuschel, anton michel and karl-heinz neubert. The cash auditors robert endres and dieter stadtel.
Kohler spoke of an unusually long period in office, during which wehr had always completed the tasks assigned to him to his complete satisfaction. That is worth an award. He also pointed out that honors had to be applied for.
Hunder first looked back on the past year, in which the association had to say goodbye to two long-serving members. The association currently has 43 members. Hunder wished for better attendance by members at club events.
Secretary murr recalled the numerous social events organized by the association, the highlights of which included hikes and excursions, the summer festival, the kirchweih dinner and the "kappenabend" on rosenmontag.
The military and warriors’ association regularly supports the community together with a delegation of the fire department at the memorial service for the national day of mourning at the local cemetery, where the fallen, missing and war victims are commemorated with musical accompaniment at 11 a.M.
The local collection for the volksbund deutsche kriegsgraberfursorge resulted in 466 euros, compared to 490 euros the year before.
